Extension of time claims and delay analysis
An extension of time claim succeeds or fails on four things: contractual entitlement and timely notice, contemporaneous records, a credible baseline and updated programme, and a demonstration that the delay event affected the critical path. Soteria prepares and defends EOT claims for contractors, subcontractors and employers on projects in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.
What we do
- Entitlement review — the contract's time provisions, notice requirements and time bars, and the delay events on record.
- Notices and records — what should have been served, what was served, and how the gap is handled.
- Delay analysis — as-planned vs as-built, windows analysis and time impact analysis, selected for the quality of the programme and the records available.
- Critical path demonstration — showing which delays drove completion, and treating concurrency where the contractor's own delay overlaps the employer's.
- Claim preparation and submission — the narrative, the programme exhibits and the supporting records.
- Defence of EOT claims — for employers and main contractors reviewing a contractor's or subcontractor's submission.
- Link to cost — the same analysis feeds the prolongation and acceleration claim. Learn more →
